NEW: Spain´s timetable

We often don’t spend a great deal of time thinking about our own culture and how it relates to others or even how our culture is perceived by outsiders. A fascinating way to find out how other cultures see your own is to read what is written about it, particularly in other languages. In the era of the Internet, this task is quite a bit easier than it would have been 20 years ago.

Here is an article from the NY Times which talks about Spanish culture and how it is perceived by American culture as well as outlining Spain’s movement toward a 9-5 work schedule:

Read the article and consider whether or not you agree with the statements made in the article about Spanish culture. Also think about how you would feel about a 9-5 work schedule and moving the clocks back an hour.
